The Hardcore Title was an original concept during a time where it fit the product.
DDT then parodied it with the Ironman Heavymetalweight Title.
WWE then ripped off that with the 24/7 title but didn't even commit to the bit. They could have been doing random
WWE.com bulletins, updates, Twitter alerts etc. for it changing hands, but rather than just shitty rollups in random places doing insane Great Race, Mouse Trap style stunts and rube-goldberg brawl shenanigans with weapons and spots of all sorts of people vying for the belt. You could do short term nostalgia pops for days with it, you could play with the concept, say Brock or someone similar wins the title because they fucking love fighting, and just start running around looking for people to challenge them, people start fleeing them because they're afraid Brock's gonna go "HEY ITS 24/7 RULES YOURE CHALLENGING ME LETS DO THIS" and murder people for looking at him.
They put zero effort into it. It was a ripoff of a parody of their own 20 year old concept that purely served to fill time.
