I like AEW the most because it is the closest to 2006 ROH mixed with 2012 PWG. What sucks is it comes across as more than a little TNA.
WWE is becoming more and more like AEW but I still prefer AEW because it feels more organic.

Late 2021 was the high water mark and it's been downhill ever since.
I was legitimately more invested in AEW at that time, especially compared to how abysmal WWE looked.

AEW is based and true wrestling. All opponents of AEW are low information valueless people that subsist on a diet of lies and emotional hatred. Everything bad that people accuse AEW of doing, WWE has done much worse. Dynamite and AEW PPV gamethreads are the biggest weekly and monthly draws on /pw/.

I enjoyed early AEW a lot. It was my favorite promotion for a year or maybe two. Eventually I started to dislike a lot of things they do, and I barely watch it anymore, but sometimes I watch it for a feud or a match
I also generally enjoy PPVs but that's it

I remember that at one point one of the selling points of AEW was that they only did 4 PPVs a year so half of them weren't just filler and all were worth watching. Oh, how times have changed

I think more PPVs would have been okay as long as they weren't monthly. But 3 and even 2 TV shows were too much for a roster like the one they have. They don't have enough top guys for 2 shows, let alone three shows, so they bloated their roster with midcarders to fill the two other shows with random matches

Ideally there'd be like 6 ppvs a year. I feel like 2 months is the perfect spacing. I agree with too much tv time too. Collision or Rampage one need to go. Cutting Collision and going back to making Rampage watchable would probably do them a lot of good.

That doesn't really apply outside of number one and number two. It's really like Nickelodeon vs Cartoon Network, especially during the Clinton years. The CN original shows better but none of them would draw like Nick's biggest show. Nickelodeon had brighter cartoons with more fluid animation that were all closer to palatable than good but CN was PVR SOVL or pure shit. So AEW vs WWE flames boil down to Fairly Oddparent fans demanding that PPG and Dexter's Lab fans defend Cow and Chicken.
