They hugely overpaid for Thursday night NFL games, and threw a bunch of cash at MLB teams to get a certain number of baseball games each year. I could see them paying the asking price for RAW. Amazon seems content with losing a fuck ton of money in the near term in order to bolster their streaming platform. As long as the rest of their company makes a profit I guess they can keep doing this, but there has to come a point where the cut their losses.
