The entire (most of) world is indebted to america through NATO. Basically, the US will be your army if you submit and agree not to have your own standing army. The west is built on the debt owed by these other nations that the US polices. That's why they need to start/sustain so many wars. When you hear the US gives the Ukraine xyz billion dollars, they are giving them weapons and supplies "valued" at that amount with the expectation that it'll be paid back with interest.
Like the middle east, likely the US will withdraw support from ukraine but let Russia keep the equipment and weapons as an excuse to continue/start more wars.
