That's partially the reason I made the thread, I was watching an old episode on Peacock and I was just vibing, Eddie vs Benoit, the comfy summer night, all the old folks in the front row.
Made me nostalgic for something I've never experienced

Didn’t they do shows in a studio at disney world already all the time? Also they had already toured the country they weren’t stuck in antlanta every week

I've wondered so much about that particular group of old people. Did they know what they were going to watch? Did they seek it out on their own?
I saw the John Travolta pubisher in a movie theater, and the back row was all people from an elderly facility. I have no idea why they went to see it, but sometimes they seek it out
But man, that one guy.. he was having the time of his life

They grew up with wrestling, wanted to live through something they've cherished since their younger, and had a chance to do it for cheaper. All because they had money and a lot of free time. You have to admire their enthusiasm, and their willingness to engage with what was going on. They're the perfect balance between a total mark and someone who is smartened up to the work. To take an overused meme expression, they weren't exposed to the ironypoison. You can only hope to be able to enjoy things at that age as much as they did.

Turner was using the Nitro production trucks/equipment to cover the Olympics. Nitro had to go to Disney because that was their only spare set of production equipment.

Attending one of these surrounded by drunk college girls and awesome pre 9/11 American cultural atmosphere.

Club LaVela and The Mall of America were the ideas of Zane Bresloff. He came up with many of the promotional ideas like Nitro Parties at schools and the Nitro Girls, that made nitro cool.
