I keep telling myself there is going to be some sort of payoff here with this story arc of him always losing title matches. this moment now is very much rock bottom so I assume something must be happening soon storywise

on the other hand he's apparently lost 12 title matches in a row, not sure if that counts house shows or not. his win rate is high but he literally never wins a title match lately and only ever loses to champs

The three champions he's been challenging since 2021 are all on historic title reigns and are essentially unbeatable. That is its own problem for sure, but that doesn't mean they're booking Drew weak.

Yeah losing the big one certainly harms him. I feel he bounced back just fine after the Gunther loss though. Its the constant coming up short for the world title that is hurting him. A heel turn might be the wrong call now, I think people are getting behind him more and more because he is constantly screwed.
