The current tag team champions are Ricky Starks and Big Bill, a random team of guys who both left teams to go solo and then won tag titles together, instead of an actual team. They are one of few good acts on TV in the company but it's also a tag team title scene removed from the tag team division.
Jericho wanted another vanity tag team title shit with another random singles guy to fuck over all the tag teams he sibjegates into his factions until they die of obscurity in the undercard, so he forced himself into Omega's feud with Don Callis to force himself into a tag team to force himself into the tag titles under the guise of claiming to help elevate the new talent; Takeshita and Hobbs. He lost quickly to Hobbs and then quietly moved away from that feud, beat Takeshita clean in Japan and abandoned the Callis family off of TV so himself and Kenny could feud with the Yin g Bucks for 3 weeks for no reason, which made everyone involved look like retards. He then began a very slow programme with Starks and Hobbs that was just replaying a badly filmed attack angle for weeks and then following it up with the worst in ring promo of 2023. Omega then announced on twitter that he has diverticulitis making all of these months of confused and unresolved feuds into a total waste of everyone's time because none of them have been paid off.
This resulted in Jericho dragging all of them back so he could turn Sammy Guevara face again, Sammy having turned heel on Jericho to actually try to get over because he is worthless as a babyface, so Jericho can still ruin the tag division that he has hogged near 50% of ppv title matches in throughout aew history. So now Jericho will bury Sammy by making him his little sidekick again, he will bury Starks and Bill, he will bury Takeshita and Hobbs. And this is just lazy shit to pad that out.
