okay tho why doesn't AJ, knight, or randy just agree together to just pin one of them?

I mean they all hate romans fucking guts and know the bloodline screws them out of winning normally, so why wouldn't they just cheese this shit since its a fatal 4 way? you could just have somebody agree to take the pin to have roman lose. or even just tap to something immediately

BatB didn't work because it was 4th wall breaking Russo bullshit. In kayfabe every wrestler should want a belt because it's valuable, gets you paid more, and establishes you as a talented wrestler face or heel. There are exceptions where this can work but it usually makes the belt look like dogshit, the only time I can think of it kinda working was Ted DiBiase buying the title off Andre and even then they renigged like a week or two later

Literally letting one of them pin you wouldn't make sense, because
1) You have zero guarantee that guy will keep up his end of the bargain.
2) The result could very well get overturned. In kayfabe, Roman has a tremendous amount of power, he would just get a rematch or even get the match thrown out entirely.

Wrestle Kingdom kind of played on this sentiment of "guys in a multi-man fucking hate the other guy," by having Moxley and Ospreay agree to spend the first five minutes of the match murdering Finlay so they could settle it one-on-one, but of course Finlay just ran in and pinned somebody at the end. What they should've done and what these three guys should do is team up on Roman during the match and just mercilessly beat him until he's in a fucking coma. It's a 3-on-1 No DQ match for as long as they want it. Break both of his legs, break both of his arms, break his neck, you can make sure he can't step in the ring for the next 3 years and it would be 100% legal.

Just once, I would like to see that. A bunch of babyfaces get so sick of a heel's shit that they just team up and beat on him until he's dead.

As for an entertainment perspective, how would you book such a thing? Somebody just lays down while a second one pins him and third one keeps roman away? Give the fans a 5 seconds spit in the face instead of a match? It would be bad anyway you try it
I do think they will pull some moments where they team on roman, but it would always end up with one of them attacking the other (especially with AJ being heel and orton being, well, orton) and bloodline shenanigans to help roman get the W
Regardless of who he faced it's a forgone conclusion roman ain't dropping the belt, so at least they threw together something that will be fun and advance characters and angles instead of ticking the checkmark of roman defending against orton in a boring 20 snooz

If any of them were that beta they unironically wouldn't be facing Roman, trying to win the title or give a shit. So what will happen is they will gang up on him, allowing Roman to legit rest for the whole match so he can have a "real" match in Perth with Rock where he has to do the carrying. The other 3 will have a match and Roman will get a sneak pin off of an RKO and an BTFT to AJ.

It's so fucking obvious dude. Triple H needs to steer away from this Reign of Terror booking shit. The Attitude era used to play hot potato with the belt and it kept everyone over as fuck, Drew, Jey, Sammy, LA Knight, Cody and the Judgement Day should have all been World Champions at this point in time taking the belts off eachother and Chad Gable fucking fell off too for not getting the midcard title when he was white hot, having unpredictable matches is part of what makes wrestling interesting. Sure having ONE super long reign at a time is fine but having 3 out of your 4 main titles be these boring ass long reigns shit AT THE SAME TIME is fucking attrocious.
