TNA also had those reverse Royal Rumble matches that were just fucking bizarre. There's really no way to work a match like that and not make it look completely retarded. I can appreciate that they were trying something new but that shit did NOT work ever.

I'd include Inferno match as one of the retarded ideas of wrestling, but at least an inferno match sounds awesome and would pop marks and kids who don't know better.

A lot of what TNA tried to do was just reinventing the wheel aka having gimmick matches on top of matches that were already gimmicked. Wrestling is not that complicated, if the viewer even has to think about the rules for more than a few moments then you failed

The idea itself is good and some of the spots have been good but I don't think there's even been a Scaffold match that's actually good. Usually the structure itself is complete shit which makes even moving around impossible and most iterations manage to fuck it up even more by not having tables underneath which makes taking a good bump impossible too.

Like how hard is it to actually have a steady structure over the ring with enough room to wrestle and just enough room to throw someone through tables underneath?
