>>12877968Bong here, I was a WCW kid 98-01. My perception of it was probaby biased by this but it definitely felt like WCW was bigger for a period over here, at the very least on the same level. High street stores had WCW toys as much as WWF, VHSes were harder to come by, but WCW seemed to be pretty huge here, and their international roster made them feel genuinely worldwide while WWF felt very American-centric.
Looking back in hindsight WWF seems to have had way more name recognition across all the US while WCW was more regionally focused in the US, and a lot more people here remember Stone Cold, The Rock, Undertaker, Kane, than remember Goldberg or DDP, so I'm not sure how true my childhood perception was.
