>>12891061I feel that the Young Bucks simply yayed everything Tony proposed so they could get paid.
Jericho's the same, he gets to be champion and drink champagne and lose the champagne championship belt the night he wins it, and not care because he's Chris Fucking Jericho, laying girl after girl after girl like he's Ric Flair in 1985.
Cody's the guy who brought sports-based wrestling to the table. He wanted to do the long programmes with personal conflicts about deep bonds and trust issues, and cut promos like his dad.
Maybe Tony did want to do sports-based wrestling, but has a completely different idea from what Cody and everyone else thought it is.
What most people thought it is, is 1980s JCP and WCW. Wrestling presented as a serious sport about the title and the chase.
What Tony thought it is, is FIFA. Round Robin tournaments with ledgers and points systems, where the score is more important than the trophy at the end or the chase.
It has made wrestling look more phoney and gimmicky, not less.
But that's just what I feel.
