I never got back in 2005-09 why he never made it bigger in his career but everything that's come out since made it clear. If he wasn't such a narcissistic sociopathic self mark con trying to grift off of aspiring wrestlers' dreams while sliding into female trainees DMs he could have been successful in TNA, Japan in the juniors, maybe even a cruiserweight run in WWE. Had the ring talent, had a decent look despite his size, didn't have bags of charisma but could hit the beats on a promo.
His need for control and validation cost him more of both than if he'd just trained people right, encouraged them to take offers, built positive connections and been willing to work for someone else to raise his profile rather than needing everything on his terms.
