>>12920497MJF as a champion doing cheesy skits doesn't really qualify here. I mean to say AEW needs more big personalities that stay over with the crowd, despite 50-50 booking, because they're just so damn entertaining. Eddie was in, but is now out of that category. The Acclaimed are mega over, no idea why they're champions - they should be chasing. Skye Blue is featured weekly, will she address the crowd, in ring, at all this year? How many female talents other than Britt Baker or Saraya get to do so?
I low-key miss Big Money Matt because he got some other guys mic time, a chance to shine other than just doing moves. When was the last time Lee Moriarty got mic time or an extended push? I just don't get it sometimes. I like where they're going with private party, hope they both stay healthy.
>>12920510Look at the roster, look at the sheets, do the basic math yourself. Suffice to say, it would be an EGREGIOUS error in judgment to just spend on whoever you want - Copeland, Ospreay, Mercedes, Galloway - and just assume that the new TV deal will "of course" bring you to profitability. That's very far from guaranteed, though Tony's restraint signing the latest crop of WWE cuts (Mustafa, Nemeth, Shelton, etc) is promising. I think he's learned that you can't just sign everyone and figure it out on the fly, you need a long term plan.
If you know better than I do, go nuts. I don't recall many recent AEW departures other than Andrade, Bunny, Sonny Kiss, who else did I miss? Did I miss 5,000,000 worth? I don't think I did, bud. Was Andrade making more than Copeland got to sign? You can say that if you won't, I'll refrain.
