This is the only AEW event I ever watched in full, and this was easily MOTN. By a fucking country mile. Seeing Awesome Kong was pretty cool as well, but the show reeked of PWG/indie horseshit, so I pretty safely skipped out on ever watching the show.
I'd feel validated now that the promotion is ice cold, but some retards insist on the only just now being bad.

This putrid match, combined with some sloppy production on the pre-show, killed any interest I had in the company. I did go back to watch Cody/Dustin after hearing all the praise and I wasn't disappointed. Great match.

Man early AEW is so weird to go back to. Tony brought in so many guys who had no business being on TV but we're the flavor of the month on the Indies. WWE had so many guys stuck in developmental so their options were limited but still.

It seems like you can go a lot longer on a lighter schedule. Early 40's used to be retirement territory. I wouldn't be surprised if wrestling into your 50's becomes normal for the current bunch of self-marks. It would be pretty nice because it means there's less of a rush to establish your career before you age out of being worth a push.
