yet, wrestlers have gotten paralysed after getting suplexed into them. not because of the initial impact into the corners but because of how they landed on the mat afterwards.

He really wasn't always like this. I rewatched his initial Asics & Shorts NJPW run, and he was excellent on most occasions. His selling was convincing, his moves were impactful, and the progression of his matches was logical. How or who told him to stop caring about logic and focus on the embarrassing theatrics instead? It's been dire, and he seems even more boneheaded these days than ever before. I don't know how someone like Danielson didn't explicitly reproach it to him.
