I'm watching 1993 monday night raw for the first time and damn this shit suck so far, does it really not get good until 1996-7?
I really liked wwf to this point (1985-1993) but its falling off really fast

Just watch the PPVs until 96. RAW doesn't get good until then and then it's shit from 98 until 2000, then it's shit again forever desu.

I would start with Raw in October 96 so you can get the build to Survivor Series and the Pillman gun angle. But check out the good matches between then. Like Mankind vs Shawn Michaels

Yup. A few years back I decided I'd start watching the first Nitro, Raw, and ECW that were all going on at the same time. Needless to say Raw was pathetic.

Episodes are only an hour and without commercials, they fly by.
I think it's interesting to watch early RAWs as a sort of time capsule because they were trying some weird stuff - ring girls, excessive pop culture references in a vain attempt to seem hip, wrestlers calling the announce booth DURING matches to cut promos which buries the in-ring stuff going on at the same time. It's all very weird.
