He was also in trouble a lot during his youth, which is often indicative of a troubled home life. And Vince Sr apparently only took the boy in when he found out the sort of life he was leading, and was appalled. Vince Jr went on to revere his real father for saving him. Of course without being there, no one can say for sure what happened, but I think many Of Vince's very particular and peculiar personality quirks could definitely be traced back to being physically and sexually assaulted as a child.
