Even Roman's title record is a fake, since the record is for the WWF/WWE title, which guys like Hogan and Bruno held for lengthy reigns. Roman has only held the WWE title since April 2022 (WrestleMania 38), which is at 651 days. It's nowhere near Hogan's record.
Roman has held the Universal title for 1232 days. While impressive, the Universal title was only created in 2016. Hulk Hogan, Bob Backlund, Pedro Morales, and Bruno Sammartino never held that title. It didn't exist. WWE can pretend all they want, but the Universal title is not the WWE title, nor carries with it even one-tenth of its prestige. Roman even carries two belts to this day, so no they are not the same.
