This was around the time hhh got the books. He doesn't know how to progress any stories.

Sami actually needed cody to win at wm so that his story with the bloodline could be concluded. All these storylines stalled for a whole year and tons of characters have been left cooled off.

Sami is great, but I don't think he should have been the one to end Roman. The bloodline is on life support since he left, the storyline should have ended a bit after he was kicked out, in hindsight, he was the one who actually made the story fun.
