The TNA brand is way too damaged for them to get a major deal. Even if the criticism is unfounded, it has become too much of a punchline. If Tony approached Warner with TNA in 2019, no way they would have given him the deal.

They might have some people still at Paramount willing to work with them since Dixie is no longer there but Paramount doesn't exactly have big money to spend, which might not matter in TNA's case.

Wasn't referring to the network but the corporation since Paramount+ is still a thing, but again Paramount has a lot of crushing debt so it'd have to be a bum deal whether they wanted TNA or not.

TNA doesn't have any deal at all either. Anthem owns the channel they air on. It's as good of a deal as Sinclair ROH but available in even less households.

Yes. Anthem owns TNA and also owns AXSTV. This is like saying the WWE Network is a streaming deal for WWE. A more parallel example is when Sinclair owned ROH and streamed it on syndication on their own broadcast networks. You don't negotiate with yourself to air your own show on your own network. You just decide whatever terms you want outright.

I don't know what show that is but using Nickelodeon as an example -- they own Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. They don't get any license money directly for airing it on Nickelodeon itself, but they do get money for their licensing deal with Netflix to air TMNT stuff.

I watched Hard To Kill and while it was a decent show with some okay matches TNA really doesn't have much in any star power, its bittersweet how they've managed to come back but its during a time that they can't be that even distant #2 anymore. They need a Kurt Angle level star to get them back to where they once where, if AJ Styles was to come back I could buy them as having an honest chance.

I would argue having Moose go over Alex Shelley and then having Ziggler challenge Moose burned all their good will and they're back to where they started. If the idea was to rope back in old TNA fans that was definitely the wrong way to do it.

This. /asp/ was excited about the possibility of a new major promotion. It very quickly became apparent that it was being booked by a retard who thought his EWR saves made for good TV. Also, no one would care if Tony was a shitty booker and kept a low profile otherwise. He desperately wants to be liked yet has no idea how to be likeable.
