Everyone points to record profits and shit like the attendance for Roman being a draw but WWE is owned by Endeavour and has been on the inside of the entertainment establishment for years now. That's how they got comfy TV deals and the big money Saudi deal. They turn profits from corporate dealings more than anything, I wouldn't be even slightly surprised if a huge swathe of their attendances are comp tickets too and they're laundering funny money for Ari, the Saudis or others which goes down on the books as gate revenue. Absolutely nobody on the current roster has any recognisability or name value to casual or lapsed fans, nobody has heard of Roman outside of existing wrestling fans he brings no new people in and with how ratings have continued their slide (I know all TV is down now with streaming) I simply don't believe that the guy who's been overpushed for 10 years despite fans hating him, is somehow bringing back old fans or new viewers after so many years of the same old shit.
Tl;Dr all major wrestling nowadays is elaborate money laundering prove me wrong
