Probably the most over-hyped tough guy in fake wrestling history. Trained in Japan as a sumo wrestler as a teenager, but never fought ANY legit fighters who can actually knock him out in a combat sport. Haku would have been OBLITERATED by Mike Tyson, Mark Hunt or David Tua. It's one thing to beat up some drunken loser at a bar, but it's a completely different world in MMA/UFC. I would even bet prime Shamrock would've wiped the floor with Haku.

I honestly wouldn't doubt his toughness but there's also been stories of him getting stretched or put into a hold he couldn't get out of with his brute force.
If you were to really think about the wrestlers at the time you had a lot of genuine athletes and fighters that could take out some rednecks or the average Joe with ease which makes Meng not that special.

I'm sure he's as tough as they say he is. I don't know if he'd be the winner in a "tough guy fight for all" tournament though. He seems touch in a "I'll fuck you up in a street fight/bar" way but he'd probably lose if he was put in a trained fight like MMA or a boxing match.
