>>13005974>spend the post praising Joe>mention nothing related to WWE in any wayWhy are you so butthurt? AEW will never improve if some fans remain blinded to its flaws and keep dismissing them because "muh WWE bad." There are tons of flaws with modern WWE. But they aren't going to change when they're making so much money on international deals and streaming. It's just a brand and that is going to generate revenue no matter how shit the product is. Pretending that AEW is perfect because of WWE is fucking stupid and it doesn't do a damn thing but HELP the WWE while driving potential, or even current, AEW fans away. Does AEW want to be just another indie? Or the #2 promotion? If the latter, start fucking acting like it and stop using WWE's shit product as an excuse not to address AEW's problems.
>How do you get 50/50 from 1-0? Because HOOK was 'kept strong' in this match and made to look like a threat to Joe, even kicking out of the muscle buster at 1. Joe and HOOK are being presented as near equals, albeit Joe still a little better. That's bogus. If you want to put over your champ strong, he needs to go over a much smaller midcarder in a convincing, dominant way. And as for HOOK, he needs to be racking up wins against other guys in his own league.
Neither guy got over from this match. Hence why I'm calling it '50/50 booking'. I wasn't referring to wins/losses. This is pro wrestling: how you won or lose is often just as, if not more, important than the win itself.
