>>13007900>I mean, God forbid they try something new.I liked st anger for what it was, but it signalled the end of what i went to metallia for and my fandom officially died when i listened to death magnetic for free on a plane.
Like, even with load and especially reload, they still kept their souls planted in what they were good at. Which, to me, was always impossibly precise mastery of music theory that shouldnt work and their technical application of making it not only work, but sound cool.
When st anger happened it seemed like they were just content to making dark noise, because none of them could stand being in a room long enough to actually collaborate like they used to.
Sad times.
