This isn't a matter of getting $500 vs $800 per show, we're talking 7 figure deals plus perks like airfare, hotels, etc. If you're a promoter and Wrestler B approaches you about Wrestler A's salary, all you have to do is start talking bonuses, PPV cut, French benefits, etc, and it becomes clear if Wrestler B is talking out of their ass (or got worked).....or if Wrestler A sat down and showed B the entire contract front to back, and therefore can't be trusted
But people who have never signed an employee contract, other than their Wendy's employee contract, will never understand. The contracts are **purposely** shitted up with unique terms and conditions to make it impossible to directly compare them 1v1. Most negotiations are handled by agents these days for this exact reason. It's not like NFL or MLB contracts where their Collective Bargaining Agreements have very strict limits on what can and can't be placed in individual agreements, it's still the Wild West for Wrestler contracts.
