Even the casual fans know he hated the wwe for the last 10 years, and treated his return as hell freezing over. At which point a normal person would ask why. His only reason given is that he's home. He has said nothing alluding to the animosity with both WWE or AEW, annoying the fans in the know and those people who don't watch anything outside wwe who are waiting for answers. That's why his talk with Cody is being hyped up. Smarks are going to hold out for any references to AEW, while the normies just want two potential rumble winners to have a confrontation. All that's going to happen is that they'll mention how both of them have a story to finish at wrestlemania, and it involves the champion.
