Meanwhile WWE is growing in the face of mass cord-cutting, a deep recession and lack of discretionary income in the middle/working class. WWE fan is happy to be 1/9,500 at a WWE event for $100 a ticket but won't bother attending an AEW show for 1/5 the price....despite all their "starpower" and "5 star matches"
It's just grim and getting grimmer. It's beyond mere console warring at this point. It's like beating your older brother 25 straight times at Madden, you don't worry about losing....you worry about him murdering you in your sleep and then offing himself. It's not nearly as much fun to dunk on AEW while they're taking so many Ls.
