>>13049294The fact that people are saying that one of the reasons Okada would even contemplate WWE over AEW is because he wants to be involved in a Wrestlemania is a massive reason why AEW really need to get their finger out of their ass and build a yearly supercard equivalent to it.
The fact is no PPV in AEW feels more or less important than any other one, with the exception of All Out in Wembley last year. It has potential, but it remains to be seen if they're able to repeat the broad reaching success of the event last year, and more importantly replicate the success outside Wembley.
Every other promotion understands the need to have a yearly extravaganza show, WWE built the framework for it with Wrestlemania and made it such a spectacle that they always do their best business between the Royal Rumble through to Wrestlemania just from the hype of the event alone. AEW just doesn't have that
