I stopped paying mine because I already own my home outright, have a 2.7 percent mortgage locked in on my rental property and have access to all the 0 percent interest credit I need through my business which really only exists on paper. So I just said fuck it and stopped paying off my student loan. I was smart enough to drop out but having to pay anything was irritating to me and a reminder that they worked me for a year.
Biden had my loans removed from deferment, all the bad marks erased and all payments brought up to current. They didn’t forgive the entirety of the debt but they set the payment to 0. When it came up in October that payments would resume they automatically pushed it back to April and informed me they’d continue to defer automatically in seemingly perpetuity until it can be forgiven once the loan reaches a certain age.
So no, not forgiven yet, just functionally forgotten about until it reaches a certain age. Biden is an old drilling retard but I gotta say, Orange Man didn’t let me stop paying my bills.
