>>13068801Yeah, I can't see this deal increasing Netflix subscriber numbers much, which is what they really care about at the end of the day. I bet they cancel after 5 years when it doesn't move the subscription needle like they hoped. Amazon has the resources to go into massive debt to build up their streaming service with live sports, while this is an experiment for Netflix. I think the only other live sports thing they did was some golf events.
The big question is what kind of TV deal will WWE be able to get when they get cancelled off of streaming? They won't have ratings numbers they can point to for their their next deal. Only total streaming hours or whatever metric Netflix occasionally puts out.
