Okada put over the next generation guy that they wanted him to put over. It was SANADA.
It was never going to be Shota, Tsuji, or Uemura on their immediate return and not because of Okada, but because of how the office books rookies in NJPW.
If Okada didn't want to put over the rookies, why SANADA? He has no connection to SANADA. They're not friends. He is not a CHAOS guy. He is not someone that Okada has any reason to select and say, "This is the guy I want to put over."
He put over the guy that the company put in front of him and there is 0 reason to believe that he wouldn't have done it, if it was one of the rookies.
I don't care what your gay podcast says because their headcanon makes no fucking logical sense if you've been watching NJPW for the past two years.
SANADA was the guy NJPW chose. He was put over clean by Okada and then he went to be irrelevant in the trios division. To blame him for that is just you having sour grapes about Okada because you're a shameless mark for some other wrestler and have been seething about Okada for years.
