okada cannot cut a promo, and is not used to wrestling on an episodic weekly basis. He does not know how to build a character and work an angle for TV.

He needs to learn how to do these things in order to make it in the big leagues.

You only get to skip NXT if you KNOW how to work weekly television, and if you're a big enough name. Styles was that fucking good that he didn't need to do all that shit.
Okada's a legendary wrestler, but he will definitely need time to cook into the WWE system. They have standards for TV, unlike AEW.

Why is it an issue if Okada comes to NXT for a few months while he and his family adjust to living in the US? Does he have to start touring the country and be away from his non-native English speaking wife and small child as soon as he gets off the plane to the US? The guy is a human too, give him time to adjust to America and settle in with his family.

Jade doesn't need to take ESL classes, get used to how TV is produced there and working the hard cam, deal with government agencies getting visas for himself and his family, and get them settled in the US like Okada would have to do. Better to do the Grapefruit Loop while getting that done instead of jetting all across the US while trying to get a family settled in. The fact that Jade is still there after working with a national company, and without having to go through that much upheaval in her life, is rather telling.

Nothing wrong with that. Shinsuke did the same thing. Going to the PC is not only about teaching you about wrestling from the ground up. It's about calibrating the talent. Watch AEW for when radically talent work together and it gets bowling shoe ugly.
