Imagine if there was a Punk vs AEW lawsuit and he alleged there was a conspiracy among the VPs to get rid of him, and in discovery Punk asked for **every single EVP e-mail** they sent mentioning him, then got to get each one of them deposed under oath. What if they found some smoking gun there, that his travel was purposely sabotaged in the UK, emails about fucking with him, plotting against him while he was out with his first injury, etc? All of it would become public record and possibly keep WWE/NJPW free agents away from AEW. You think TK wants that kind of headache just to save a few million on Punk's contract if he won his lawsuit? Nah. Offer to let Punk walk free and clear if he signs the NDA, they go their separate ways, EZPZ
