The NFL is full of all time great athletes because the teams are constantly developing new techniques to become better.
Wrestling on the other hand has never had a more shallow talent pool. Absolute shitters from 20 years ago still could throw a punch and understood the importance of selling and match flow. In 10 more years backyarders from the 90s will be better than the modern talent.

There are a large amount of college football fans that do not watch the NFL at all

I was forced to listen to sports radio at my last job.
Every football game is 3 hours.
Imagine watching 3 WWE PPVs on Saturday and Sunday and two games during the week.
