But WBD spent basically the same amount of money as the cost of Raw on the NHL a couple years ago and they're gearing up to spend more annually on the NBA than the total value of Raw's deal. One year of what their deal with the NBA will probably be is going to cost more than the entirety of Raw's deal with Netflix (and that's if Netflix doesn't use the option to cancel it after five years, if they do then it's like three times as much).
So if they can afford the NHL and the NBA, why can't they afford Raw? Seems more likely that they just weren't very interested, especially since we recently saw a network, FOX, move on from WWE with no interest in renewal.
