What was up back in the day? If you were over 6’2 and a fatass you were pushed to the moon. Like 5 guys (hogan, warrior, hawk, animal, sting) never sold anything significant. They looked more beat up after getting hugged for 2 minutes than when they had their head slammed into the mat. I can easily forgive the lack of technical skill and stamina because of the amount of roids these guys were doing at the time and the era they wrestled was more about theatrics. But the whole “I’m invincible so nothing can hurt me ever” gimmick is a bad one and it leads to boring matches and makes you wonder if their opponent was even a threat to begin with. Thank God at this point nobody is untouchable when it comes to moves.
