Reminder: in addition to Smackdown, NBCU is also broadcasting 4 primetime wwe specials on NBC. It's probably the return of Saturday Night's Main Event.
The only reason I could see USA keeping SD on Fridays is because it would drive hype for PLEs on Peacock and NBC specials.

I think Friday SD leading into Saturday PLEs is a great format. Better than a pre show and gets me hyped for the special.

But idk... USA knows Fridays are bad nights for cable. Feel like they might move it to Thursdays.

My hunch is everyone is throwing in the towel on going head to head with the NFL and would rather win the other nights:
>Tuesday Night on Netflix. 2 hours. Almost like a weekly PLE formatted like a Peacock event.
>Wednesday Night NXT on the CW. For the lulz.
>Thursday Night Smackdown on USA. 3 hours.
