What would actual sports based presentation wrestling look like? It was a meme term in the early AEW days. Could you actually go back to treating it like a shoot sport?

The way to ressurect kayfabe is to have shoot fights where both guys know it is bad for business if you cause a lasting injury, and you sell your matches as being "too close to call" in the build despite there being actual disparities between the talent level of the workers (and sometimes have closer workers decide on a finish backstage). Anybody who doesn't want to play the game you just throw in matches with better fighters and get them to shoot on them, keeps the kayfabe alive.
UFC is just like sumo or PRIDE type feds, shoot contact (and as a result always the chance of a surprise knockout) but worked angles. Dana is legit the best pro wrestling promoter in modern history, and the UFC is the Brawl For All done right.

wins and losses are related to push and actually factor into stories. the story is always about wanting to win an athletic contest instead of personal nonsense like my former best friend betrayed me, it’s always been my dream to be here destiny blah blah blah, or we had a match in front of 12 people 11 years ago in RoH but smarks remember so rematch, etc. watch nfl players talk to press, watch ufc fighters talk about training and strategy for a fight. vince doesn’t understand anything he can’t control 100% and tony is far too retarded to quit geeking out for five minutes and do it right.

Hakkaku telling Hoshoryu to do a 1 minute staredown before putting down his hands and then publicly reprimanding him is really good. I like it. But doesn't the social media ban kind of fuck with it? They could promote angles much more dynamically if wrestlers still had their own accounts. But I guess they might expose the business since it's still a real sport.

I like to believe wrestling could have a renaissance but that's not gonna happen in any current promotion filled with delusional people who recklessly promote politics and poorly imitate better wrestlers.
For wrestling to be seen as a credible sport again
the matches and angles have to make sense from start to end
the wrestlers have to be honorable and respectable
the presentation has to be appealing
and the overall product should resonate with everyone going through this chaotic period in American history
