If anything, this was when Linda decided that being with Vince wasn't an advantage to her anymore and she could use all the things Vince did in the past to easily divorce him for half his shit. They probably came to an understanding that Linda was allowed to live away from Vince but still have full access to his money, under the condition that she didn't go public about any of this.
