Like, all his stories of petty shit he did is funny to us, but deep down he's venting his frustration over being seen as anything other than a lowly carny, despite the success he did have. Vince never liked being known as a wrestling promoter, changed the language as much as he could and did everything he can to change history,
Shit, even when he went off on WCW, he picked at Ted, despite Ted never caring. Ted just liked wrestling and joked on the phone about how he's the business now and Vince got his panties in a bunch over it. Turner's board would ask Ted to kill WCW, and Ted usually just said no, and they'd go about the rest of the business.
Vince's entire success is that he beat a guy that put like no effort into competing and wasn't even the main guy competing against him. Bischoff was the president of WCW and in charge of day-by-day operations. A guy that had wrestling on his station because he liked watching it from time to time. Vince's greatest success, was like a quick note in a typical Turner meeting while he went over all the other entities that made him a well respected billionaire.
It's fucking sad, lmfaoooo.
