All his shit works against dumb as fuck wrestling promoters. Most of those guys were hicks or tough guys with egos but no business acumen. He came in as a business guy and got ahead of them easily, but whenever Vince had to actually make a play against another business person, he usually took the L.
People like Corny hype him up, but let's be real, a person like Cornette would never be in an office. He'd be kicked out quickly. He only managed to stay in Wrestling because it's a carny business that hires failed athletes and the poorly educated. Cornette has never seen a real business guy other than fucking Vince. He thinks Vince's shit works with the actual elite people.
Shit, HHH's first gimmick was because Vince's neighbors laughed at him to his face because they were actual elites. Vince is very successful, but he'll always be a carny promoter to those guys.
