Reminder WWE is leaving TV at the end of the year
Which means AEW becomes the highest rated wrestling show on television
… unless
WWE starts to support a third party, a brand too small in infrastructure to challenge the WWE, but with enough name value to push AEW hard, ideally airing on one of the two days of the week that WWE never has a show on so they don’t hurt WWEs current numbers. They just need a bit of marketing to get some WWE fans to start checking it out.
This is the first step of a beneficial partnership for both companies to try and keep Tony from boasting about ratings on Twitter next year
