In the first few years of the company, even when the booking surrounding him was a completely nonsensical clusterfuck, he was great at selling whatever issue or angle he had and sounding like he meant what he was saying.
However, the motherfucker just cannot wrestle. The two new Young Lions that New Japan introduced this year have demonstrated more of a capacity to have a coherent wrestling match without any smoke and mirrors than Moxley has in his entire AEW run. He has got to the most overpushed top guy relative to his talents in wrestling history by a mile. I genuinely don't know what his fans see when they watch his matches and say he's one of the best wrestlers in the world, its the emperor with no clothes.
