Infinitely more info is known about MLB and its revenue-sharing than AEW. Every single MLB contract is forwarded for review to MLBPA/Agents and made public.

Professional sports teams have to submit a lot of paperwork for public records (salaries, contracts, revenue, taxes etc.) due to unions and how closely they work with city governments. Any account could easily get access to those records and evaluate them. All AEW shit is word of mouth, because it's a private company with private contractors. The matter of public record is attendance and tv ratings.

There's no doubt AEW is valued in some way as 2 billy with all the money being tossed around. Its the same thing as a failing restaurateur sinking hundreds of thousands of their own money from something else to keep it going and get all kinds of fancy shit.
