Traditionally, they run CyberFight at a loss and fund it with their other divisions, particularly their successful gaming studio CyGames which makes big bank off of gacha games about bands, idols, and horse-racing. At least, until 2024. Now, suddenly they stopped developing the game about bands, content reduced the idol game, and the horse-racing game isn't really making as much money as it used to. All 3 of those franchises are basically licenses to print money, so any interruption of them to have the staff work on anything else is bizarre, bordering on mismanagement. It's complicated though, because they're partnered with other companies and the other companies may be the ones behind the poor decision making.
tl;dr CyberFight can't keep robbing the CyGames division because the CyGames division or two of their partners are too retarded to make money.
