That's why AEW is so deleterious to the industry, it's some fucking autistic child with an unlimited money cheat code turned on. Tony doesn't give a shit about making a profit, which sounds based if you're a fucking child with no conception of economic principles, but is actually very bad for the health of the industry.
It's a black hole that sucks up free agents and money and gives nothing in return. Guys go there and get massively overpaid to sit on their ass and not get over. This robs guys who could be working and making a difference from smaller companies, and it also harms the guys themselves because its diminishing their star power. It also gives these guys inflated self-worth, they're gonna actually think they're worth the insane amount of money Tony pays them and will balk at the idea of working for comparative peanuts anywhere else.
It was a problem when WWE was doing this shit 5-7 years ago and just hiring everybody, and it's worse with Tony doing it.
