Jumping the shark is a direct reference to an episode of Happy Days when the Fonze literally jumped a shark as a stunt. The show had been going for way too long already and promoting a weird stunt was like a hotshot for a sitcom and it was really weird and stupid.
I used to watch Happy Days reruns as a kid in the 2000s and I remember seeing this specific episode and it was fucking surreal.
Jumping the Shark is when something loses track of itself, runs out of ideas and becomes random nonsense. I don't think that this bloodline thing would qualify for that so the anon who said you were dumb for using the term is correct.
The AEW Adam Cole Devil shit would be jumping the shark, though it would be like the 40th shark jump over there. WWE has had loads of mini ones but no real main event ones I can think of. TNA had lots of them too.
