Still holds up and is worth the reputation it has. Is it still the best wrestling game out there? Maybe not. Even for AKI ones I always liked Wrestlemania 2000 more but that's just personal preference

It's pretty good. The momentum system really carries the gameplay. Matches flow like they should and building up to your big moves is satisfying.

I think the only "big" wrestling games I've never bought were WWE 2K20 and AEW Fight Forever but I atleast played the former at a friend's house

Great for the time, but really slow nowadays. The only AKI game that holds up is Def Jam: FFNY. Kinnikuman on GC is basically a demo and the one on PS2 has brutal loading times.

If Def Jam had different license it would be remembered as a classic.

No one wants to play games where you just fly to the top rope and slam and crash through everything. It's like I'm watching AEW, No Mercy was slow paced because wrestling is a paced sport. Setting up tournaments with your created wrestlers versus the big names of the time helped me and my friends pass hours time
