This 100% is not close to what the Benoit tragedy was. There was concern that wrestling would be banned by the fucking government or Vince would be held culpable and face penalties that closed the company. This is the one millionth chapter in US history of some rich old fuck violating a girl. It’s probably not even going to hurt anyone but Vince’s business that much in the long run. This is false. The media was on WWE’s ass for months because of Benoit and it’s the trigger that made the company go PG.
Benoit was a bigger deal but Bince is in the spotlight because he’s possibly the biggest and most significant figure in all of pro wrestling.
