Back in the day, the goal was always FASTER. Newsgroups gave way to IRC gave way to ICQ/AIM/MSN gave way to Myspace, Facebook and so on. But those old text chat rooms were immediate. People responded right away, top of the head. WPM actually mattered. If you waited even 60 seconds to respond, when everyone knew your bitch ass was sitting right there malding, trying to figure a way out, the moment was GONE and you were confirmed shit on.
Now in the 2020s, the "cool" thing to do is no-sell someone's Tweet, Reddit post, whatever, for multiple hours (or even a day or longer) before responding. "Heh, I'm not bothered. Kek, I'm such a cool and busy person. You're so mad I haven't said anything yet!" - 4chan is actually the worst for this. Think of how faggoty it sounds when you drop a "not reading your novel" literally in the same comment calling someone a retard. You don't sound unique, you don't sound based, you sound like a smarmy little prick who probably mumble-mouths and stutters IRL so you get your rocks off shitting on people online who actually put in effort, when the only thing you ever put effort into is your Lolicon collection.
